Christian Student Fellowship Joins the MacLaurin Institute!

On August 1, 2011, Christian Student Fellowship (CSF) will officially join MacLaurin. These two historic U of M campus ministries are combining for greater overall effectiveness advancing the distinctive mission of the MacLaurin Institute. Founded in 1974, CSF is one of the University’s oldest campus ministries, distinguishing itself in recent years through its compelling service to international graduate students. We are all thrilled about this most exciting development in our institutional histories! 

The staff and trustees of the MacLaurin Institute wish, in particular, to welcome Brad Dewing as our new Coordinator for Campus Life. Among other responsibilities, Brad will be working closely with campus ministry leaders and local churches to bring MacLaurin’s special resources to the widest possible audience. We also want to welcome Dave Burkum, Rebecca Lehmer, and Jonathan Teichroew (all previously on CSF’s board) to the MacLaurin Institute’s Board of Trustees. Finally, we’re eager to develop a new MacLaurin Board of Advisors, which Scott McLellan will serve as its first member. 

On August 1 the MacLaurin Institute will move its offices to the current home of CSF. The new MacLaurinCSF Center is conveniently located at 1337 Cleveland Avenue North on the St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota, across from Haecker Hall. On Wednesday, September 7, from 4:00-7:00pm, you are warmly invited to our Open House celebration.
